I always hated clumps and lumps when I apply mascara. But I love my mascara. I love the formula that makes my lashes extra long so they become windshield wipers for my glasses. Yes. DIRTY windshield wipers. I so very like my windshield wipers! =D
Some mascaras I’ve tried ended up with lumps, bumps and clumps that makes your eye lashes really heavy and makes you want to fall asleep during work or it just makes your eye make up really fugly.

Either way, it’s disgusting, gross and yucky. Who wants that?
One of my favourite mascaras is Maybelline’s Volum’ Express’ the Falsies Black Drama in Dramatic Black. Whew! Very long name. I like most of Maybelline’s mascaras, though but my recent purchase was the Falsies mascara. I like it quite a bit, it makes my lashes long and flirty. However, have you ever notice that the more coats you put on, the clumpier the mascara gets? Sometimes it happens with just one coat.

Sad. So what to do? Throw away a perfectly good mascara I that I purchased two weeks ago? Of course not! And it would be a waste to never use it again as well.

I decided to just simply clean my mascara wand.

First, I only use waterproof mascara, I’ll dampen a paper towel with waterproof eye make up remover.

Then remove all the mascara from the wand.

Ah, almost a nice clean mascara wand, but there is still make up remover residue!

Since I don’t want it to affect any future mascara applications, I’ll dampen another paper towel.

Remove the excess makeup remover from the wand.

Lastly I let it dry for about 5 minutes.

And voila! My mascara super less clumpy mascara!
If you don’t want to use makeup removers, you can probably use brusher cleaner. It’s just the same. Or even alcohol wipes or soap and water. However, I think alcohol would strip the mascara wand a little too much that it would make the wand rougher than it already is and soap and water takes too long so your mascara might dry out.
