For a while now, I’ve been constantly going to the Dior cosmetic counter to play with there lipsticks. Seriously, $31.00 is way too expensive for a lipstick, but I couldn’t resist, I ended up with.. this:
Beautiful no? I just had to have one! You know, when you see that dog with the puppy dog eyes that’s begging you to buy him/her? Or that beautiful Tiffany’s 0.6 carat diamond pendant necklace you don’t have enough money to buy or anyone to buy it for you? The Dior Addict Lipsticks fall in that category!
They are the most amazing lipsticks I’ve seen on them market. I don’t deny the fact that it’s over priced and in Canada, everything is over price thanks to the bunch of taxes we need to pay to import a beautiful yet delicate thing like this lipstick. But at this point in time, I think it’s 300% worth it.
The new Dior Addict Lipstick is basically a new formulation of the old classic Dior Addict Lipstick, but the new lipstick formula has 25% less wax that is more of a gel like texture than a regular cream texture lipstick. Extremely hydrating and volumizing while it has attributes of both a lipstick and a lip gloss in one.
Honestly, I love multi-purpose products, so this lipstick was like three products in one: a lipbalm, a lipstick and a lip gloss. How perfect is that!? The only thing it’s missing is the sunscreen factor.
However, the Dior Addict Lipsticks comes in 44 vibrant shades. Each extradionary brilliant shades that could match any skintone but I could only choose one (budget issues).
I chose the Dior Addict Lipstick in Shade 530 Bobo. It actually matches my lip colour almost perfectly. I’ve never found a lipstick that matched my lips so well unless I had to mix colours.
The packaging is still the same as the classic liptstick, but in silver. I think it looks so much better. Very futuristic, sleek and elegant. It’s like a diamond but made out of hard plastic. The closure snaps very snuggly and secure. Much like all high end lipsticks.
As I mentioned before, I cringed about the price. $31.00 is a little too high end for me. But the sales lady was generous enough to give me some free samples to go with my purchase so I went ahead and picked up the lipstick. Not that I need extra samples, I just thought it would be nice to try other items.
At the end of the day, will I buy it again? YES! For $31.00 + tax? Probably not, I’ll head down south for vacation and pick another one up. I would recommend definitely anyone to buy it.
